Goals

  • Support colleges as they raise awareness of potential employment opportunities/careers by increasing the availability of education and training programs.
  • Promote college efforts to incorporate sustainable food and agricultural efforts on their campuses and within their local communities.
  • Assist community college workforce development programs by supporting marketing and communication to promote awareness of programs that lead to jobs at all skill levels.
  • Support community college programs that engage nontraditional farmers such as women, veterans, the formally incarcerated and early to mid-career professionals making career changes.
  • Support college STEM programs to promote education on food and agriculture topics.
  • Work with state and regional partnerships to create a state-wide plan for local food system development.
