IGEN would not be successful without yearly events that allow us to bring our college affiliates together with other sustainability professionals and partners to share best practices and new methods for growing the green economy in Illinois. Currently, our annual events include:
- IGEN Sustainability Conference
This is an important opportunity for our network to collaborate, share information, and explore new opportunities for the advancement of sustainability on campus and statewide. This conference includes panel discussions, presentations, and workshops about the latest sustainability-related best practices, careers, education, and technology. Business/organization sponsors are welcome to offer demonstrations, exhibits, and raffles.
- Water Summit
This summit provides an opportunity to develop water conservation education and training, goals, and strategies. The summit includes discussions and presentations on important water issues impacting Illinois and brings together educators, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
As a sponsor, you will enjoy the following benefits, depending on your level of sponsorship:
- free registration
- Logo displayed on all event materials
- Exhibit space
- Special recognition during event
- Event naming (i.e. “Keynote sponsored by X or Reception sponsored by X”, etc.
If you are interested in sponsoring an event, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Statewide Sustainability Areas
To strategically advance the efforts of Illinois community colleges, IGEN focuses on specific areas of sustainability to build programs, offer support, and spread best practices to spur economic development opportunities in Illinois.
- Building Sciences
- Natural Resources
- Sustainable Food
IGEN welcomes businesses/organizations, individuals, and other partners to directly support sustainability areas relevant to them, their passions, and the work they do.
Sponsoring specific sustainability areas allows programming to continue in the absence of grant funding.
