In the Sustainable Energy Systems IGEN Partnership certificate program, students develop a background in building systems for sustainable energy. Students learn about building automation, heating, cooling, controllers, sustainability, renewable energy and solar thermal systems. Students choose to focus on an Environmental Control, Biofuels, or Hydro and HVAC option. When students complete this program, they can seek employment in an area where there is rapid growth in employment opportunities as a technician in sustainable energy, energy assessment and management, environmental controls, and automation and controls. Students can apply all of these courses into the Sustainable Energy Systems AAS degree.
