Julie Elzanati - Executive Director

Julie Elzanati is employed by Heartland Community College as the Executive Director of the Illinois Green Economy Network. She works closely with Jerry Weber, College of Lake County President, Georgia Costello, Southwestern Illinois College President, and the IGEN Presidents Steering Committee to provide leadership and coordination for IGEN strategies and operations throughout the statewide network. Currently, she oversees three major grants related to the expansion and implementation of programs and services designed to address green campus initiatives, green workforce development, greening of curriculum, and green community outreach. Julie holds an M.S. in Conservation Biology from Illinois State University and a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Julie also serves as co-chair of the Governor's Green Universities & Colleges Subcommittee and as vice-chair for the Illinois Association of Professional Energy Consultants.

Robert Hilgenbrink - Financial Advisor

Mr. Hilgenbrink has been in the role of Vice President for business or administrative services at three other Illinois community colleges for a combined total of 33 years. He was active in and held leadership positions in the Central Association of College and University Business Officers (CACUBO) and the Illinois Community College Chief Financial Officers (ICCCFO).

Stephen Bell - Director, College Partnerships

As one of IGEN's Directors of College Partnerships, Stephen works as part of the IGEN Administrative team to provide strategic direction, promote collaboration and foster relationships among the IGEN Network colleges and between the colleges and a variety of partners.

Wynne Coplea - Director, College Partnerships

Wynne Coplea has more than 20 years' experience in recycling management for local/state goverment, is on the Board of the IL Recycling Association, co-founded the Green Business Network of Springfield and wrote the education plan for Erin's Pavilion/Southwind Park. Wynne holds a BA in Liberal Arts/Environmental Education and an MA in Communication.

Jamie Wheeler - Accountant

Jamie Wheeler is employed as Grant Accountant & Coordinator for the Illinois Green Economy Network and is housed at Southwestern Illinois College. Jamie holds a M.S. in Accountancy from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Katie Davis - Program Coordinator

Katie Davis is employed by Heartland Community College as Program Coordinator for the Illinois Green Economy Network. She works closely with the Directors of College Partnerships and develops and manages a wide range of IGEN programs and initiatives. Katie holds a B.A in Environmental Studies from Illinois Wesleyan University.

Jessika Sutton - IGEN Senior Secretary

Jessika Sutton is the Senior Secretary of Illinois Green Economy Network at College of Lake County. She provides support to the IGEN Administrative team and works closely with Stephen Bell, Director of College Partnerships. She earned an Associate of Arts degree from College of Lake County.

Larissa Armstrong - IGEN Secretary

Larissa Armstrong is the Secretary for the Illinois Green Economy Network. Working out of Heartland Community College, she provides administrative support to the IGEN team, and works closely with Julie Elzanati. Larissa holds a Masters degree in Global Affairs with a concentration in Global Environmental Issues from Rutgers University, and a B.A. in Politics and Government from Illinois State University.
